Um kurz vor 17:00 Uhr ging es los zum Flughafen. Nach 10 Minuten waren wir am Parkplatz angekommen. Nach weiteren 30 Minuten waren wir dann tatsächlich mit dem Shuttlebus am Terminal angekommen, eingecheckt, Zeitungen gekauft und zur Sicherheitskontrolle. Nun wurde es lustig. Da wir ja zum Pinevent wollten, hatte ich massig Pins im Handgepäck, also erst mal den Koffer aufgemacht und die Pins vorgezeigt. Da man sie so schön fand haben sie gleich bei der zweiten Kontrolle angerufen und die meinten: Wir haben gehört Sie haben so schöne Pins...dürfen wir die auch mal sehen ?.. Klar durften sie. Der Flug war wieder klasse und wir waren recht früh auf CDG. Bei Sixt gab es dann Probleme mit dem Mietwagen, den Tarif den ich gebucht hatte gab es nicht mehr..und dann musste erst noch ein Auto geholt werden. Wir bekamen dann eine Renault Clio. Um 21:30 Uhr kamen wir im Holiday Inn an. Als wir gerade im Zimmer waren (1419, ein schönes Eckzimmer mit Kingbed) rief Ela an und wir haben uns mit ihr und Stephan an der Bar betroffen. Nach zwei Gläsern Wein bzw. einem Cocktail war das einschlafen gar kein Problem.

21.August 2004

Waren relativ früh auf und sind nach dem ersten Kaffee im Zimmer zum Hotel New York gefahren und von dort aus in Richtung Park. Leider war es am regnen und so haben wir nicht viel gemacht und haben hauptsächlich in den Geschäften geschaut. Um 14:00 Uhr haben wir im Parkside Diner im Hotel etwas gegessen. Dort war es leer und so hatten wir fast das ganze Restaurant für uns alleine. Anschließend sind wir zurück zum Holiday Inn gefahren um uns etwas auszuruhen, da ja am Abend das Stitch Pinevent auf dem Programm. Um 19:30 Uhr ging es im Studio 1 los. Für das Event waren 350 Karten verkauft worden und man bekam Berechtigungsscheine zum Kauf der neuen limitierten Pins und der Eventpins. Ausserdem konnte man etwas essen und es gab Wettbewerbe um das schönste Kostüm und des besten Hulatänzer. Bis 23:00 Uhr haben wir mit einigen anderen Pintradern zusammen gesessen und Pins getauscht.

22. August 2004

Wir waren wieder recht früh auf und sind nachdem wir unsere Sachen gepackt haben wieder zum Park. Im Salon Mickey war es recht voll und so sind wir nach einem Kaffee weiter in den Park. Wir sind dann Big Thunder Mountain, Its a Small World, Casey jr. und Storybookland gefahren. Mittags haben wir uns mit Ela und Stephan im Cowboy Cookout getroffen. Später trafen wir noch Andrea, Jörg und Julianzufällig getroffen und sind zusammen POTC gefahren. Nun war es langsam Zeit die letzten Einkäufe zu tätigen und nach einem Kaffee in der New York Bar zum Flughafen zu fahren. Um 22:00 Uhr waren wir pünktlich wieder zuhause.

Just before 5p.m. we drove to the airport at Dortmund which we reached only 10 minutes later. After another 30 minutes we arrived at the terminal with the shuttlebus, so we better pay more next time for a parking that it nearer. We checked in, bought some newspapers and went to the security check. Now it became funny. As we wanted to go to the pinevent I got a lot of pins with me and they asked me to open the suitcase. The girl from the first check phoned the second check (only at Germany when you flight with an UK-Airline) to tell them that they already checked us. But when we came there the second security check asked me: "the others told us that the pins are so beautiful... may we also see them...? okay they were allowed. The flight was great again and we reached CDG before time. Got a little problem at the Sixt car rental cause the rate I booked was not more at their computer and they had to call for a car. We got a Renault Clio and arrived at the Holiday Inn at 9:30 pm. As we were at our room (1419 at nice room at the corner with a kingbed) Ela called and we meet her and Stephan at the bar. After two glasses of wine (me) and a cocktail (Siggi) we fell asleep very quick.

21. August 2004

Get up early and after the first cup of coffe at the room we drove to the Hotel New York and from there to the park. As it was raining we spend most of the time at the shops. At 2pm we had lunch at the parkside dinner at the Hotel New York. The restaurant was really empty so we has a great time there. We drove back to the Holiday Inn for a rest as there was the Stitch Pinevent in the evening. At 7:30pm it starts at Studio 1. They sold 350 tickets for the event and everyone got a voucher that allows him to buy the new released pins. They had a constum contest and a lot of traders were dressed up. You could eat something there and there were competion for the best costums and dancers. Till 11 pm we had a great time with the other pin traders.

22. August 2004

Get up early again and after we checked out we went to the park. As it was really crowded at the Salon Mickey we only had a quick coffee there. We did Big Thunder Mountain, Its a Small World, Casey jr. and Storybookland. We meet Ela and Stephan again for lunch at the Cowboy Cookout. Later on we meet Andrea, Jörg and Julian and did the Pirates together. Now it was time to do the last shopping and after a coffee at the New York Bar we drove back to the airport. The flight was just in time and we were back in our flat at 10pm.
