Ostern / Easter 2004

Wir waren vom 9. bis zum 12. April 2004 zusammen mit Siggi´s Mutter und Schwester im DLRP. Mittwoch abend habe ich noch eine Auktion von Schmetterling Reisen bei ebay gewonnen und so konnten wir die Zimmer im 1erClasse stornieren und nun die Zeit im Hotel Cheyenne verbringen.

Wir sind früh losgefahren und kamen um 9:30 Uhr im Cheyenne an. Die Castmember dort waren super. Wir konnten das Fantasyland Breakfast für Samstag und Montag bekommen und auch das Schlüsselabholen am Nachmittag ging zügig ohne Wartezeit.Im Park gab es eine Menge an Osterdekoration und die Victorian Dancers begrüßten einen am Town Square mit einer kleinen Show. In der Main Street USA, im Adventureland und im Discoveryland wurde viel renoviert. Es war nicht sehr voll, trotzdem haben wir uns einen Fastpass für Space Mountain geholt und in der Zwischenzeit Honey I Shrunk the Audience gesehen. Nach Space Mountain ging es zu It´s a Small World ins Story Book Land und dann Casey jr. den wir *rückwärts* gefahren sind.

Zum Stärken sind wir dann in die Toad Hall und haben dort Fish & Chips gegessen. Beim verlassen sahen wir eine Gruppe von ca. 8 Italienern oder Spaniern die auf der Terasse am *speisen* waren. Selbstmitgebrachte Weinflaschen, Salami, Käse, Brot etc. lag auf dem Tisch. Ich finde es muss echt nicht sein die sowieso recht wenigen Tische zu blockieren, dafür ist die Picnic area da. Auf dem Weg zum Hotel haben wir noch die Princess Parade gesehen. Es wurde wieder nur Catchin´ gespielt.

Wir haben Zimmer 2138 im Jesse James Gebäude bekommen. Da wir ziemlich müde waren beschlossen wir im Chuckwaggon Cafe zu Abend zu essen. Das Essen selber war nicht schlecht, nur die Atmosphäre war sehr unruhig und es hat sehr lange gedauert bis man alles zusammen hatte und dadurch war alles maximal lauwarm. Das Essen in den Bedienungsrestaurants muss auch nicht teurer sein, aber dort ist es wesentlich angenehmer.

Am nächsten Morgen hatten wir das Fantasyland Breakfast um 9:15 Uhr. Also früh in den Park. Was für ein Gefühl fast alleine die Main Street hinunter zu gehen :-) Vor dem Frühstück konnten wir noch zweimal Peter Pan und einmal Pinnochio fahren.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut und es gibt jetzt sogar Frischwurst und Salami, nur der Kaffee war etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Danach erst mal zu den Pirates of the Caribean und zu Big Thunder Mountain, dort war es recht voll und deshalb weiter zu Phantom Manor. MIttags haben wir uns dann mit Gregor aus dem FPW-Forum in den Studions getroffen und sind zusammen RNRC gefahren und haben die Stunt Show und Armageddon gesehen. Anschliessend noch Cinimagique und dann zurück zum Hotel um dann nach Val d´Europe zum einkaufen zu gefahren.

Abends hatten wir einen Tisch im King Ludwigs reserviert und das Essen war wieder super.

Ostersonntag haben wir uns ein Charakter Breakfast im Walts gegönnt. Absolut zu empfehlen. Die Charakter kamen an unseren Tisch, obwohl wir nur Erwachsene waren.

Wir haben uns dann mit Agnes, Davy, Ruud und Jochen getroffen und zusammen Tarzan gesehen und danach auf der Terasse von Colonel Hathi´s Pizza Outpost Pizza gegessen.

Danach ging es zu Peter Pan to the Rescue einer neuen Show auf Käpt´n Hook Schiff. Absolut sehenswert.

Das Schiff wurde komplett renoviert und auch den Spatzen scheint es zu gefallen, da sie ihre Nester in den Kanonenrohren gebaut haben.

Abends haben wir noch einen Cocktail in der Bar der Sequioa Lodge mit Gregor und seinen Freunden genommen.

Montag hieß es wieder früh aufstehen. Fantasyland Breakfast um 8:15 Uhr und vorher noch die Sachen im Auto verstauen. Nach dem Frühstück sind wir Snowwhite und endlich auch Big Thunder Mountain gefahren. Star Tours und Mickeys Showtime, die Show lief an diesem Tag das letzte mal standen auch noch auf unserem Plan.

Am Montag war der 12. Geburtstag des Parks und RTL hat live übertragen. Ich konnte ein Bild mit Vincent Perrot bekommen ( keine Ahnung ob er sehr berühmt ist ;-))

Bevor es wieder zurück ging haben wir noch etwas eingekauft und im Rainforest Cafe gegessen.

Wir hatten wieder eine tolle Zeit und auch Siggi´s Mama und Schwester waren begeistert.

We stayed from the 9. till 12. April 2004 togehter with Siggi´s mother and sister at DLRP. Wednesday eve I could win an ebay auction from Schmetterling Reisen and so we got a room for four at the Cheyenne and I could cancel the rooms at the 1er Classe.

We started early and reaches the Cheyenne at 9:30a.m. The CM at the Cheyenne were great and we got Fantasyland Breakfast for saturday and monday.
There was a lot of easter decoration at the park and when entering the park the Victorian Dancers wellcomes us at Town Square. Main Street, Hakuna Matata and Discoveryland were refurnished. The queues were not that bad but we got us an FP for SM and saw Honey I Shrunk the Audience during the waiting time.

After It´s a small world, Story Book Land and Casey jr. (we did it BACKWARDS) we had fish and chips at Toad Hall.
When leaving we saw a group of perhaps 8 italian or spanish people sitting outsite havin picnic with their own wine, salami, cheese and bread. Okay, I take sometimes something to eat and drink with me as well, but only for a little snack and dont block the rare seats at a restaurants with my own dinner. On the way back to the hotel we saw the Princesse Parade but only Catchin´ was playing.

In the evening we ate at the Chuckwaggon Cafe. Not bad, but a very busy athmosphere and the lines at the cooking stations were long and it was not cheaper than at a table service restaurant.

Next morning we had Fantasyland Breakfast at 9:15. Early alone at Main Street....what a feeling ...great!!!
We did Peter Pan twice and Pinochio once before breakfast.

The breakfast a the Chalet de la Marionette was nice this time with salami and mortaldella.... but can someone tell me why the french guys cut the cheese in squares?.... and the coffee was a little bit strange so we had to try with milk and hot water the best mixture.

After that Pirates of the Caribean,...yes the picture is taken earlier now. Long waiting line at Big Thunder Mountain so we went further to Phantom, Manor. After some SMS we met friends from an german forum a at the Studios. Did RNRC twice, saw the Stunt Show and Armageddon together. Did Cinemagque afterwards and went back to the hotel to go to Val d´Europe for some shopping. Dinner at King Ludwigs which was great as always.
Although it was raining we went back by feet.

Eastersunday we had a Character Breakfast at Walt´s, lovely as ever and worth the money. The charakters came to our table although we were only adults
We meet Agnes, Davy, Ruud and Jochen afterwards at the queueline of Tarzan. Yes, they changed the beginning and the end a bit.

Nice lunchtime at Colonel Hathis with a lot of Pizza

Saw the new show Peter Pan to the Rescue. The ship is refurnished and even the birds think that they did a great job and are living inside of the barrel of the guns.

WDS and Disney Animation. Sadly the Studio Tram Tour had technical problems so we went back to the Hotel. In the evening we had a drink with our german friends at the Sequioa Lodge.

And... getting up early... very early again. Fantasyland Breakfast at 8:15 and before we had to put all our luggage into the car.

Snowwhite after breakfast and then Big Thunder Mountain. We did Star Tours and Mickeys Showtime. It was the last day for Mickeys Showtime so it was a little sad to know that you could not see that show again.

As I got a second great digicam I did a lot of pics.

On monday at the 12th birthday of the park there were a radio station of RTL at the Gibson Girl. Vincent Perrot was there and I got a picture with him (but I do not know if he is very famous )
Before leaving we did a little shopping and ate at the Rainforest Cafe as we mostly did before leaving.

We had a great time and Siggi´s mother and sister who joined us did love it as we did.
